90 minutes of sibling love and support!

We know that sibling grief is often overlooked, and that many of us carry the weight of being the "forgotten mourners." You are not forgotten here.

WHY SUMMER?

Summer holds core memories — of backyard games, beach days, family trips, and late-night laughter with our siblings. It’s when many of us felt most connected growing up, and the time when we witnessed our sibling bonds evolving as adults.

Sibling's Summer is a chance to reclaim this season, not by forgetting, but by honoring them, our grief, and ourselves in the warm company of others who truly get it.

This six-week virtual support experience for those of us missing our siblings, processing traumatic and stigmatized loss, and navigating life without our people in the company of those who truly get it.

Summer Picnic Essentials

Come join our (virtual) table this summer

This virtual gathering is a space where siblings can bring their whole truth—without judgment, platitudes, or the need to sanitize their story.

Not all grief is met with compassion. When a sibling dies due to suicide, overdose, mental illness, as a result of an eating disorder, or other stigmatized causes, survivors are often left to carry a complex and invisible grief alone.

Together, we will tend to the weight of grief that’s lived in the shadows, explore the intersections of sibling identity and stigmatized loss, and reclaim our right to grieve out loud.

WHY THIS GATHERING MATTERS

This gathering invites deeper truth-telling, community ritual, and tending to the shame that often clings to stigmatized losses. It’s intimate, raw, and deeply affirming.

We center the experiences of siblings navigating stigmatized or complicated losses—those often weighed down by silence, shame, or misunderstanding. Here, your grief doesn't have to be justified or made palatable.

Through community ritual, reflective practice, and compassionate witnessing, we’ll tend to the layered realities of sibling loss with gentleness and truth. This is a space for raw honesty, quiet presence, and collective care. You don’t have to carry it alone anymore.

SURVIVING SIBLINGS SUMMER

The loss of a brother or sister is not small, unimportant or invisible. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I call sibling loss the loss of a lifetime, because who else do we expect to have relationships with that stretch our entire lives."

- LYNN SHATTUCK

What will be the time & day of the virtual calls, and what if I can't make them every week?

We will meet virtually on the following Thursdays (please mark your calendar): JUNE 26th, JULY 3rd, JULY 10th, JULY 17th, JULY 24th, and JULY 31st. The live virtual circles are scheduled to be 90 minutes, from 7-8:30 pm ET, 6-7:30pm CT, 4-5:30pm PT. If you are joining from a different time zone, please adjust the time accordingly.

If you are unable to make it, you'll still receive all of the communications related to the group activities, and you'll have access to the portal, where you can engage with the group anytime.

Please note the calls will not be recorded. We highly recommend that you only sign up if you're willing and able to join the live calls to make the most of this experience.

SIBLING LOSS GRIEF COACH SUPPORT

What is the program portal?

A program portal is the virtual 'home' for this container, which will house the related content. It's also the private, dedicated virtual space where we will be able to engage with each other before and after the calls.

We plan to use Mighty Networks, which also offers a corresponding app for convenient access.

I'm apprehensive about the financial investment.

Please honor your financial boundaries.

What you're investing in is in your self-care at a time when it matters most. By joining, you'll be resourced, supported, and guided as you embrace who you are becoming after losing your sibling. Additionally, the value of grief-informed support and a community of fellow siblings goes far beyond the fee.

You will gain much more than what you'll pay for it.

I'm shy. Will I have to talk and be on camera?

Showing up and being vulnerable in community can be intimidating, at first. I take creating an environment that fosters safety very seriously. That's why one of the first communications is a set of agreements for all to follow as a way to respect ourselves, each other, and our privacy.

I also understand it can be daunting to show up, so much of our initial work will also consist of icebreakers and fostering a sense of connection, so we make the most of our time together. For this to happen, we will require that all participants have their cameras on. You get to decide how much, or how little, you want to share, and you will never be forced outside of your non-negotiable boundaries.

What I've found through hosting previous grief circles is participants end up sharing, engaged, and connect to others in a very organic and healthy way.
